Meet Jo – a creative force here at FitFlop. She was an obvious choice to try out our statement sock sneakers, see how she chose to style them.

What’s your role at FitFlop?

I’m the Head Producer for Campaign, Styling and AV.

Can you tell us a little bit about roles you’ve had before joining FitFlop?

My first job was in fashion PR where my tasks included making the tea and washing up, but alongside that I got to go to Paris Fashion and London Fashion Weeks and attend photoshoots. This gave me a real thirst for the industry, and I became a sponge, soaking up as much information and inspiration as I could. I later worked at various high street retailers organising and managing photoshoots. Being on-set and working with creative people is the part of my job that I really love.

What does a normal day look like for you?

Every day is different, which is important to me. I might be checking out locations for potential shoots, casting models, meeting agents or getting my head down in the office with a budget spreadsheet.

Why is comfort important to you in your job?

Comfort is important to me because I am on my feet a lot and I like to walk EVERYWHERE, it’s my favourite mode of transport by far. I’m also a Mum to two boys, so they certainly keep me very active (read: knackered!).

What’s your favourite thing about working here at FitFlop?

The people. They truly are the nicest bunch.

What do you like most about the Swatchbook high-top sock sneakers?

I love the story behind the inspiration of this shoe and how it was dreamt up from a swatch book sample in the factory. You definitely need to dress from the feet up with this one as it’s so bold!

Tell us the inspiration behind the outfit you’ve paired with these shoes.

The Swatchbook sock sneakers make a real statement so I’ve kept it simple with a classic black jumpsuit and a tux jacket. This is great for running around in and perfect to meet pals after work.

What is your wardrobe staple, the one thing you can’t live without?

I am all about the instant one-piece outfit, so a dress/jumpsuit is always a winner.

Who would you say is your style icon?

I admire older women with attitude – I have a thing for Iris Apfel, Linda Rodin and Baddie Winkle! I aim to grow old disgracefully.

What are some other styles in our new range that you are excited about?

All the C’s! Carita sneakers in turquoise, Chunky Zip ankle boots in black and Chrissie felt slippers in steel grey.
