Take a closer look at a few of our sneakers as they take on Fashion Week
It takes confidence to strike a pose in front of a huge crowd of street style photographers—something we saw first-hand when we caught up with TV host Jackie Miranne, fashion blogger Olivia Jeanette and Caitlyn Warakomski of ‘How Do You Wear That’ at NYFW. The one thing they all had in common? FitFlop sneakers. Forget attempting a nonchalant strut in sky-high heels; this season is all about the comfy shoe.
Olivia opted for the Airmesh sneaker, which comes in five colours and features a clean, modern slip-on design—“I can slip them on and be out the door,” she says. “The material is super lightweight and breathable, [and they] combine style, comfort, and convenience.” Without any fussy laces or fastenings, the Airmesh is sleek yet sporty, with a seamless, perforated mesh upper that’s clean and light as air—perfect as we head into summer. And just as Olivia says, they’re incredibly comfortable even after a long day, thanks to our new, hyper-flexible Anatomiflex™ midsole.
For a more classic style, look to Caitlyn or Jackie, who opted for different versions of the Rally leather sneaker. Inspired by old-school tennis shoes, the Rally is the ultimate 24/7/365 essential: it’s the style that no woman can do without, whether it’s commuting to work, after-hours drinks, or brunch and errands on the weekend. “I have been wearing these sneakers non-stop,” says Caitlyn, whose Rally sneakers feature a unique red snake-print detail at the back. “FitFlop shoes are honestly one of the most comfortable things I have put on my foot—I’m never taking these off.”
The Rally has an Anatomicush™ midsole, which keeps them ultra-light, so you can literally wear them all day long, even if you change the rest of your outfit. Jackie’s version has a studded, scalloped leather back that’s both feminine and cool, and makes these Rallys the perfect finishing touch for any look. “Sneakers have seriously saved my day in more ways than one,” she says. “If our feet can be this comfortable and chic, why not run away with this trend?”
