We’ve teamed up with the prestigious BA Cordwainers Footwear Design course at London College of Fashion to set 37 talented students a challenge. Find out how you can help choose the winner and recipient of a fantastic prize.

Students of the BA Cordwainers Footwear Design course had an exciting addition to their syllabus this term. As part of their studies they will be designing a shoe incorporating our original Microwobbleboard midsole. A key part of their work will be delivering a design that follows the FitFlop mission; empowering you to live an active life with our all-day comfort technology.

With a huge amount of work to complete – including submitting detailed concept boards alongside their finalised design – the task won’t be easy. The prize however, is guaranteed to inspire. The winning designer will accompany the FitFlop design team on a trip in Asia to see their shoe being made in the factory. This insight into the industry as well as the chance to pick the brains of our knowledgeable team will no doubt provide invaluable experience.

The expert judging team includes Poonam Burman, FitFlop Design & Creative Director of Product; Hannah Rochell, fashion journalist and blogger; and Derrick Hoyle, buying director at Sole & Sole Trader. This trio will have the difficult task of selecting five finalists, but choosing the winner is where you come in.

The public vote will open right here on our blog on Monday 25 March. You’ll have the chance to see the shortlisted designs and find out a little bit about the inspiration behind each one. Voting will be open until midnight Wednesday 3 April, with the winner announced on Tuesday 16 April. The shoe will then be available to buy exclusively on FitFlop.com in August.
