Discover which of the five designs will be available to buy this autumn
It’s been an exciting couple of months since we first told you about this competition, and now the votes are in and it’s time to announce our winner…
We’re pleased to announce in third place we have the Alaska design from Jiyeon Lee with the Shaka design in second, designed by Reuben Crabbe. Both students will receive a MacBook Pro and a workshop day with the FitFlop design team as a congratulations for the incredible work they submitted.
We are delighted to announce our winner is the wonderfully talented Suseong Woo with her design of the Marble sneaker. The intricate, curved design and variety of textures created a stand-out look that captured the votes.
Suseong will receive a £1000 cash prize, a MacBook Pro, and an all-expenses paid trip to Asia with our design team to see behind the scenes of the industry. She will also spend a week at FitFlop HQ in London, learning what it’s like to work for a global footwear brand alongside our product design team.
We would like to say a huge congratulations to every student that took part!
Poonam Burman – our Design and Creative Director of Product here at FitFlop and part of the judging panel – was astonished by the enthusiasm and skill shown:
“The level of talent at London College of Fashion made it incredibly difficult for us judges to select the final five, however the finalists’ submissions were exceptional. I would like to congratulate our winner, Suseong Woo, who submitted and outstanding yet uniquely FitFlop creation!”
Hailing from South Korea, Suseong spent two years studying fine jewellery design before coming to London College of Fashion. Alongside shoe design she also loves fashion illustration and is always on the lookout for new techniques. We know she’s a talent to watch for the future.
